Job Overview
We are seeking a UNIX/Linux System Administrator to join our Managed Services Practice. This person must have expertise in administration within a Linux, Unix environment. Additionally, working within environments that consist of multiple sites is needed. As a member of this practice, you will communicate and consult with our clients business and technical personnel, blending with their IT team and working together to help identify
potential problems and develop solutions. The Consultant must also have experience with implementations, upgrades, administration, performance tuning, and monitoring of Storage and Backup environments.
Roles And Responsibilities
 Work with team members and clients by responding to ticket requests to complete services identified in Service Orders
 Troubleshoot, diagnose, and remediate issues
 Provide updates, upgrades, and testing for environments
 Assist with deployment of monitoring and management toolsets
 Work with a variety of clients and support different technologies and solutions
 Work in a multi-tenant Managed Services Team
Experience Required
This Senior Consultant has the following skill sets:
 UNIX / Linux experiences in production environment – at least 3-7 years of experience
 Troubleshooting experience- Knowledge of Server troubleshooting methodology
 Experience in RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE and HP-UX based distributions.
 Experience with High Availability Solution (eg. PowerHA)
 Experience with Virtualization (eg. PowerVM, OVM, VMware)
 Availability to work during out-of-office hours for urgent tasks or mission critical issues.
 Shell scripting
 Ensure proper handover when leaving to vacation including update to customers.
 Maintain customer-facing, mission-critical 24/7 production services

 Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and upgrades, including instance patching and replacement
 Review and maintain monitoring systems for both infrastructure and applications
 Provide infrastructure level support for Production, Development and QA environments
 Drive best practices for operational policies and procedures, including communication, change and incident management
 24/7 support
 Participate in an on-call rotation
 Is fully responsible for all his / her accesses (request, regularly change the passwords…) to be able to support whole assigned scope
 Disk, LVM/GPFS and FS management
 sudo management
 Performing system health check and configuration
 Backup and monitoring management and configuration
Experience identified below are additional positives:
 Supporting multi-tenant environment
 Experience with virtualization technologies
 Experience with using ServiceNow
 Previous MSP experience
 Experience with Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, and/or AWS
